Rapid Bucharest finished above Shakhtar Donetsk on higher goals scored (they had the same goal difference) with VfB Stuttgart finishing third as they had a worse goal difference than the top two.

Rapid Bucharest, Shakhtar Donetsk and VfB Stuttgart qualified for the knock-out stages of the competition, PAOK Salonika and Rennes  were eliminated from Europe.
