* The coronavirus pandemic meant that the Champions League was completed in an end-of-season behind-closed-doors tournament in Lisbon, Portugal with the quarter-finals onwards being decided in  7 one-off matches played over a period of 12 days. Manchester City's quarter-final against Lyon was played at Sporting Lisbon's Estadio Jose Alvalade.

 

Manchester City qualified for the Champions League after finishing as Premier League champions in 2018/19.
