The Football League Second Division was increased by four clubs with
Newcastle being one of those four (voting details have not survived the
passage of time). After failing to retain their place
in the Football League Division 1 after the Test Series, Accrington
resigned from the Football League in August 1893 rather than take up a place in Division
Two in the 1893/94 season. Middlesbrough Ironopolis took their place. |
