      DIVISION 3    1986/87

Leading League goalscorer:
Andy Jones
(Port Vale)
 29  goals

Middlesbrough played their first home and away competitive games of the season on the same ground. Story.

Fulham suffered their record defeat on Tuesday September 23rd 1986 when they lost 10-0 against Liverpool at Anfield in a League Cup Second Round first leg match. Then Fulham - in the programme for the match before the second leg - gave details of extra time and penalties if the aggregate score should end level! Tongue in cheek or what? Did You Know

Kevin Keegan and family, a PR picture from the 1970s which was meant to show that footballers were just like the rest of us. It had to be said though that you probably needed to be a football superstar if you were going to be able to afford the weekly shampoo bill that must have put a strain on the Keegan finances!
