The initial attempt to
play the first Leg of the Fairs Cup Final at the Stadio Comunale in
Turin between Juventus and Leeds was played on Wednesday May 26th
but was abandoned after 57 minutes after torrential rain had left
the pitch unplayable. The score was 0-0 at the time - match void.
The fixture was re-staged two days later.
The
city of Leeds
has hosted two clubs in the Football League -
Leeds City until their expulsion and then Leeds United.
