The 2013/14 season saw Swansea City make their first appearance in European competition since the early 90's. Their previous appearances were as winners of the Welsh Cup but this time it was as the first Welsh side to qualify for Europe through a Football League competition, the Swans winning the Capital One Cup (League Cup) in 2012/13.
