Cheltenham Town were promoted to the
Football League, Scarborough were
relegated from the
League to take their place.
Barrow were expelled from the Conference after Barrow AFC (1901) went bust
and the Conference wouldn't allow the new Barrow club - Barrow AFC (1999)
Ltd - to take their place. They dropped down to the Unibond NPL. Leek
Town were relegated to
the Unibond Northern Premier League and Farnborough were relegated to the Ryman Isthmian
League. Replacing the three relegated clubs were
Altrincham from the Unibond NPL, Nuneaton Borough from the Dr Martens
Southern League and Sutton United from the Rymans Isthmian League.
