Leading League goalscorer: John Charles (Leeds United) 38 goals Manchester United became the first English side to play in the European Cup and their first match on home soil saw them beat Anderlecht 10-0. It was going to be easy wasn't it! Ironically home soil for United in their first few home European matches was Manchester City's Maine Road ground. City had floodlights but Old Trafford didn't!
