Spurs were held to a draw at Crewe in the FA Cup 4th round - but they won the replay 13-2!

A week seemed to be a long time in the life of Everton in 1959/60. A week after they beat Leicester 6-1 at Goodison they lost 2-8 at Newcastle. Later in the season they beat Chelsea 6-1 at Goodison but a week later lost 2-6 at WBA.

Preston's last League match of the season - on April 30th 1960 - saw Tom Finney's final match for the club in front of a 29,781 Deepdale crowd. Every one of Finney's  433 League appearances was for his local club who beat Luton 2-0 on the day.
