Cambridge United hosted the first ever FA Cup tie to be played on a Sunday. They kicked off at 11.30am on Sunday 6th January 1974 in a 2-2 draw against Oldham Athletic.
The Sunday experiment.

The lowest post-war Football League attendance was the 450 at the Third Division match between Rochdale and Cambridge United at Spotland on 5th February 1974. There were power shortages at the time due to a miners' strike so the match was played on a Tuesday afternoon. Cambridge United won 2-0. Rochdale fans didn't have much to cheer about all season - Rochdale equalling the record for fewest home League wins (1) in a season.
