The tragedy at Hillsborough.
Overcrowding at the FA Cup semi between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest on April 15th 1989 caused the death of 96 football supporters. It wasn't until 2016 that it was officially accepted that those who died were killed by gross negligence and it was a year after that when those responsible appeared in court for the first time. A national tragedy and a national disgrace.

Hillsborough overshadowed everything including the most amazing finish to any League Championship battle when Arsenal pipped Liverpool by the narrowest of margins in a last match victory at Anfield.
It's never over...
