Brian Clough 1935 - 2004
Brian Clough, one of the finest managers to grace the English game, died on September 20th 2004. As if to confirm things would never be the same without him, Nottingham Forest, the club he once guided to two European Cup successes, were relegated from the Championship at the end of the season. It was the first time that a club had been relegated to the third tier of their domestic league after having won the European Cup.
