* The Tottenham v Watford Carabao Cup (League Cup) 3rd Round tie was played at the Stadium MK home of Milton Keynes Dons as Wembley Stadium was unavailable having hosted a world heavyweight boxing match between Anthony Joshua and Alexander Povetkin.

** The Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool Champions League final was played at the home ground of Atletico Madrid, the Estadio Metropolitano.

*** Spurs lost 2-4 on penalties against Chelsea after their two-legged League Cup semi-final tie had finished 2-2 on aggregate.

**** The Champions League Quarter-Final between Tottenham and Manchester City finished 4-4 on aggregate but Spurs progressed to the semis on the away goals rule, ending Manchester City's hopes for a quadruple in 2018/19.

***** The day after Liverpool's amazing comeback against Barcelona in the Champions League semi-final (3-0 down after the first leg, 4-3 aggregate winners) Spurs did the same against Ajax to set up an all-English Champions League final. Spurs lost the home leg 0-1 while in Amsterdam the Dutch side were 2-0 up at half-time, leading 3-0 on aggregate. But the second half saw Spurs score 3 - the last in the 96th minute - to level the aggregate score at 3-3 and take the Londoners through to the final against Liverpool on the away goals rule.
