Champions Wrexham were promoted back to the Football League as were Notts County who won the play-offs. Relegated from the Football League to the National League were Hartlepool United and Rochdale - Football League League 2 table.

Scunthorpe United were relegated to the National League North while Maidstone, Torquay and Yeovil dropped to the National League South. Promoted to the National League were AFC Fylde and Kidderminster Harriers from the North and Ebbsfleet United United and Oxford City from the South.
