Maidstone's scheduled first match of the season (at Scunthorpe) was postponed and two days later the heavily-indebted club resigned from the Football League as they were unable to guarantee that they would be able to fulfil their fixtures (Maidstone's fixture list for the season). At the end of the season bottom club Halifax dropped out of the League to be replaced by Vauxhall Conference champions Wycombe Wanderers (1992/93 Vauxhall Conference table). |
