In their first season in the Football League Peterborough United re-wrote the record books when scoring 134 League goals in a season. That total was six better than the previous record of 128 goals held by Aston Villa (1930/31) and Bradford City (1928/29).

The highest ever Division 4 attendance was recorded on Good Friday 31st March 1961 when 37,774 were at Selhurst Park for the Crystal Palace v Millwall fixture. Millwall won
