BURTON UNITED (Previous name - Burton Swifts to the end of 1900/01 when they merged with Midland League side Burton Wanderers to form Burton United (1900/01 Midland League table). The new club continued in the Football League Second Division with their reserves playing in the Midland League. Burton Wanderers were themselves former League members (record in League).
